Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

1 cup All Vegetable Shortening |

3/4 cup sugar |

3/4 cup brown sugar |

2 eggs |

1 tsp. vanilla |

1 1/2 cups flour |
| • |
1 tsp. soda |

1/2 tsp. salt |
| • |
1 Tbsp. hot water |
| • |
2 cups quick-cooking oatmeal |
| • |
1 cup (6 oz.) chocolate chips |

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease cookie sheets. Cream
shortening and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla and mix well. Blend in
remaining ingredients. Drop by teaspoonful onto greased cookie sheets.
Bake for 12 minutes. |
